Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Most of us do not bring a Bible with us to the course on Saturday or to our workplace during the week. However, the scripture speaks to the attributes (or fruits) of a faithful believer of Christ. Our conduct in reaction to adversity or success in sport or labors can be a powerful witness to all those around us. Show love and gentleness to those who may not be having the best of days on the putting greens. We should continuing exhibit the inward joy of Christ just for having the health and opportunity to engage in sport or having a vocation for which we are rewarded with wages to meet not only necessities but also many of our wants, i.e. new golf equipment, premium balls. By showing the fruits of the spirit in our daily lives, we reflect Christ and this witness may be the only Bible those around us read.
